Tourism New Zealand's consumer website newzealand.com has been nominated in the tourism category of this year's Webby Awards, known as the Oscars of the web world.

Revamped last year to better connect travel sellers with people planning a trip to New Zealand, newzealand.com is at the centre of Tourism New Zealand's strategy to communicate directly with people considering a visit to New Zealand, and to convert them to travel.

Up against other tourism website's including New York's The Official Guide and Canada's Explore Canada like a local, newzealand.com has previously been the recipient of the Webby award.

Voted on by the public, the Webby People's Voice Awards honor the year's best work in Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video and Mobile.
