Anzac Day - Wednesday 25 April 2012

Traffic Arrangements

NOTICE is hereby given under Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974 that the following streets will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic on Anzac Day, Wednesday, 25 April 2012.

BLENHEIM

Hutcheson Street (from John Street to Alfred Street) and Russell Terrace (from Alfred Street) from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm.

PICTON

London Quay (from Auckland Street to Wellington Street) and High Street (from London Quay to the intersection of Dublin Street/Waikawa Road/High Street) from 5.45 am to 6.30 am.

NOTICE is also hereby given that parking will be prohibited as follows:

BLENHEIM

Russell Terrace (from Alfred Street) and Clubs of Marlborough car park from 6.30 am to 1.00 pm. Cars will be towed if parked in these areas.

Note: Free parking will be available in the Alfred Street parking building. The barrier arms will not be in use. They will be left open on Anzac Day only. Limited parking will be available on Seymour Street and John Street.

Closure of Public Facilities

Transfer Stations

Blenheim : The Blenheim Transfer Station will be open between 1.00 pm and 4.30 pm.

Picton : The Picton Transfer Station will be open between 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm.

Havelock : The Havelock Transfer Station will be open between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm.

Wairau Valley : The Wairau Valley Transfer Station will be open between 1.00 pm and 5.00 pm.

Seddon and Rai Valley Transfer Stations will be closed on Anzac Day Wednesday, 25 April 2012.

Marlborough Resource Recovery Centre : The Marlborough Resource Recovery Centre will be open between 1.00 pm and 4.30 pm.

Greenfingers Composting : Greenfingers Composting will be open between 1.00 pm and 4.30 pm.

Kerbside Collection : Rubbish and recycling scheduled to be collected on Anzac Day Wednesday, 25 April will be collected on Tuesday, 24 April 2012.
