Business Mentors New Zealand Award

At the Business Mentors New Zealand Annual Conference held in Auckland this week, Hawke’s Bay starred again.

Napier City Council works throughout Hawke’s Bay and manages a programme with a team of 15 motivated mentors. They provide an excellent service to small businesses in the region.

For the 2nd year running Ron Massey and his team took out the top prize in the Business Mentor Awards.

When asked how that was done in Hawke’s Bay compared to the rest of New Zealand, Ron Massey said “Service and communication are the most important parts but we use a multi mentor approach. The client gets the best of everything”.

Mayor Barbara Arnott in receiving the news said “We have had an excellent Economic Development Department for many years. These programmes are a reflection of the work and the leadership of the Council. In Ron Massey we have a great Manager.”
