Samsung New Zealand has launched its new range of audio-visual products unveiling breakthrough innovation and technology for a rich, immersive sound experience.

The 2012 line-up includes Samsung’s first premium audio dock devices – the DA-E750 and DA-E650 – and a new range of home theatre systems designed to provide pure sound while maintaining sleek, stylish form factors to complement any room in the home.

Meanwhile, the addition of Samsung’s new BD-E8900 HDD Total Media Centre provides users with a more connected, home entertainment experience.

Glen Chean, Television and Audio-Visual Product Manager at Samsung New Zealand, says the new AV range has been designed with amazing sound and quality in mind.

“As a leader in the home entertainment space, we strive to provide consumers with products that deliver immersive entertainment experiences.

“Our 2012 flagship AV line not only offers the very best in design, it also features exciting new Samsung technology – such as Samsung’s Vacuum Tube Amplifier technology – designed to deliver high quality home entertainment that Kiwis can enjoy individually or with friends and family.”

Premium audio dock systems deliver sophisticated sound for the home

Featuring Samsung’s exclusive hybrid technology, Samsung’s new Audio Dock with Vacuum Tube Amplifier (DA-E750) is the company’s first dual-docking system aimed at the premium audiophile.

Combining sound quality with an elegant design, the DA-E750 exudes sophistication with its high gloss mahogany finish and is designed to blend seamlessly into the décor of any home.

The DA-E750 supports a broad range of Samsung’s GALAXY devices and Apple devices including the GALAXY S II, GALAXY Note, GALAXY Player, iPhone and iPad1 via both docked and wireless connectivity2.

Designed to provide the ultimate sound experience, the DA-E750 features a 2.1-channel speaker and built-in subwoofer with 100 watts of sound, the device also provides convenient, portable options, supporting wireless audio file playback via AllShare3 for Samsung GALAXY devices and Airplay for Apple devices or through Bluetooth® enabled devices. The device’s analog (composite) input and a USB port also enable users to play compatible audio files directly from a thumb drive, music player or portable hard drive – MP3, WMA and WAV file formats are supported.

Also new this year is the stylish DA-E650, which strikes a balance between design, functionality and connectivity to deliver a crystal clear audio experience. The device provides dual-docking capabilities – supporting both GALAXY smartphones, as well as Apple iOS devices – while simultaneously charging the batteries of each device.

Sporting a unique, modern horn-shape with a rose black finish, the DA-E650 features built-in speakers that collectively output 40 watts of power, in addition to an integrated subwoofer that enhances the bass response. The DA-E650 includes an auxiliary input and support for Bluetooth® enabled devices and audio support for MP3, WMA and WAV files from portable storage devices connected via USB.

Home entertainment system provides movie theatre-quality entertainment

Also new to the 2012 line-up is Samsung’s flagship 7.1 Channel Blu-ray 3D Home Entertainment System, featuring Samsung’s proprietary Vacuum Tube Amplifier technology – The HT-E6750W.

Through the combination of its vacuum tube amplifier technology and its glass fibre speakers, the Samsung HT-E6750W is able to deliver impeccable high-definition audio – and Samsung’s 3D Sound Plus – with a natural, rich sound. Crystal Amp Plus technology also provides power for crisp sound while a dual unit subwoofer produces clear bass tones.

Contributing to the sleek and clean design of the HT-E6750W are its compact tower speakers. Innovative Swivel Speakers on the tower provide immersive vertical sound experiences by turning upward to vertically cascade the sound down on the listener and the wireless rear tallboy speakers eliminate extra wires to provide flexibility to users. The sleek appearance is enhanced by Samsung’s vacuum tubes which are visible on the top and side of the system and add additional style and ambiance by illuminating when in use.

Featuring built-in Wi-Fi4, the HT-E6750W provides access to web-connected entertainment via full web browsing, in addition to signature services from Samsung’s Smart Hub5, AllShare Play support and hundreds of apps including BBC News, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and more. The home theatre system also supports Bluetooth® enabled devices and includes an iPhone/iPod docking cradle, providing easy access to listen to music stored on compatible mobile devices.

Smart technology accompanies chic design in Samsung’s 2012 Blu-ray line

Rounding out the entrance of new AV offerings in New Zealand is Samsung’s flagship Blu-ray product – the BD-E8500 and BD-E8900 HDD Total Media Centre.

Combining smart technologies with sophisticated design, the BD-E8500 and BD-E8900 features a two-tone design with a piano-black finish and a metal bottom.

Both the BD-E8500 and the BD-E8900 Total Media Centre combines a Blu-ray player and integrated hard disk storage with set-top box features and Smart TV capabilities to make enjoying content easy. Users have the ability to record two live digital TV channels simultaneously. Meanwhile, the Smart TV feature means recorded content can be viewed via Samsung SmartView6 from virtually anywhere in the home on a range of connected GALAXY devices. Consumers can also schedule recordings when not at home through their Wi-Fi connected compatible device by using the Remote Scheduler7 feature.

The BD-E8500 and BD-E8900 feature a full web browser with USB keyboard and mouse compatibility, built-in Wi-Fi, and access to Samsung’s Smart Hub and Samsung Apps providing a more connected home entertainment experience. Further to this users can seamlessly connect to other wireless devices. The BD-E8900 is DLNA certified and also supports Wi-Fi Direct eliminating the need for a wireless access point.
