Taupō’s AC Baths has received its Qualmark Visitor Endorsed Activity rating for 2012 with an overall score of 89 per cent – up 15 per cent from 2010 – indicating improved internal systems and customer service.

The Qualmark is New Zealand Tourism’s official mark of excellence and gives the assurance of quality service to both domestic and internationals visitors.

AC Baths Manager, Virginia Munro, says the increased score is a reflection of the hard work and commitment of pools staff. “I’m very proud of the efforts our staff, especially our frontline people, have put in to ensure all our visitors receive the best experience possible.”

The Qualmark assessment looks at all areas of a business’ internal and external processes. Ms Munro says the score is also thanks to some improved internal systems. “Our new health and safety software, Vault, as well as some other changes to internal systems have helped us to streamline the way we work.”

The complex has also recently passed its Pool Safe Audit by New Zealand Recreation Association.
