Nominations for a vacant position on the Riccarton-Wigram Community Board have closed.

Four nominations have been received: Natalie Bryden, Bob Shearing, John Stringer and Peter Yearbury.

Following the passing of Riccarton-Wigram Community Board member Ishwar Ganda Q.S.O, a by-election will be held on Friday 22 June 2012 for the vacant position. Voting papers will be sent to enrolled Riccarton-Wigram residents from Wednesday 30 May to Monday 4 June 2012. Voting closes 12 noon on Friday 22 June 2012.

The electoral roll for Riccarton-Wigram closed yesterday, Thursday 3 May. Special votes can be cast and are available from the Upper Riccarton Library, 71 Main South Road Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm from Wednesday 30 May up until 12 noon voting day Friday 22 June 2012. You can check your enrolment details at www.elections.org.nz/app/enrol.

Special votes are available for people who are on the unpublished roll, who have lost or spoilt their voting papers or who have recently moved to the ward and have lived there for at least one month prior to 10 May 2012.
