Water Supply Shutdown Awatere 19 May 2012
The Marlborough District Council wishes to advise residents in
The Awatere water supply area south of the Awatere River
that the water will be shut down
on: Saturday 19 May 2012
from: 9.00 am
until: 3.00 pm
Water users are advised to store water prior to the shutdown for use during the shutdown. Some water users may still receive water during the shutdown due to the storage capacity of the watermains and reservoirs within the network; however storing water is still advised.
Water users are requested to conserve water during the shutdown to minimise draining of the watermains, enabling a speedier return to full supply once the work is completed.
Landlords, please ensure any tenants that may be affected are aware of this water shutdown.
Should the weather be unsuitable this shutdown will be postponed until 20 May 2012.
This shutdown will enable further work to be carried out at the Blairich booster pump station.
Council apologises for any inconvenience that this may cause, and advises that the supply may be resumed at any time between these hours without further notice.
For enquiries please phone Erica Hobbs at Council's offices on Ph: 03 520 7400.
