Shadow Leader of the House Trevor Mallard today released a set of National Party Board and Board Committee minutes that reveal ‘disturbing’ internal ructions.

“Features of the minutes show that Senior Government Whip, Michael Woodhouse, has been in discussion with National Party members who have had an involvement with insider Simon Lusk, about the inappropriateness of engaging with Mr Lusk’s ‘alternative candidates school’.

“Mr Woodhouse has also reported on a ‘disturbing’ discussion that he had with Mr Lusk, indicating Mr Lusk had a ‘very negative agenda’ which represented a ‘serious risk’ to the Party,” Trevor Mallard said.

The Minutes also reveal that Murray McCully’s electorate, East Coast Bays, is behind on its levies, as is Hunua, Paul Hutchison’s electorate.
