Stokes Valley disco a community effort

More than 350 children came along to the recent Blue Light disco at Stokes Valley Pool which was a great result for all those involved in making the event happen.

Children on the night had a fantastic time in the pool enjoying music played by a DJ and the sausage sizzle and spot prizes went down a treat.

The highlight of the night was the major prize draw of four bikes which were gratefully received by the lucky winners.

The event was a community effort led by Stokes Valley police, Hutt City Council and Stokes Valley Community House who rallied support and generous donations of funding and prizes from community groups and businesses.
