Committee votes in chairperson

At the first meeting of the Taupo Kaingaroa-Mangakino Pouakani (TK-MP) Committee meeting yesterday morning, Councillors voted in their new Committee Chairman and Deputy Chairman.



Councillor Kathryn Uvhagen was voted in as Chairman and Councillor Barry Hickling as Deputy Chairman.



Councillor Uvhagen was very pleased with the outcome and the vote of confidence from her fellow councillors.



“There are different ways of chairing different groups - but a theme common to all is of working fairly, with consideration and integrity, united as a team.”



“As Chairman of the TK-MP Committee, I will be treating fellow Councillors and the public courteously and fairly - working together to produce positive outcomes in the best interest of the community and ratepayers", she said.



The next meeting of the TK-MP Committee is Wednesday 21 November.
