Ruahine Street Diversion Overnight

The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that Ruahine Street in Hataitai will be closed overnight from 7.30pm and traffic diverted around the bays.

The road was closed earlier today because of a burst sewer main but has been reopened to accommodate peak-hour traffic.

Motorists should consider heading to the airport and eastern suburbs via Island Bay and the south coast.
Motorists are advised to leave the central city earlier than normal if they have a flight to catch.
