Kapiti Police investigating scrap metal thefts

Kapiti Police are investigating a number of recent scrap metal thefts from around the Kapiti area and have arrested a 28 year old Paraparaumu man in connection with several of them.

Detective Sergeant James McKay of the Kapiti CIB says an amount of scrap metal has been seized and Kapiti Police are in the process of trying to identify where it may have come from.

"We are attempting to find the owner or owners of two large galvanised steel covers. pictured below, which are approximately 1 metre x 1 metre. If you may know where these covers may have come from, we urge you to contact us."
