More Online Payments Possible with NPDC
Making payments to New Plymouth District Council has just got easier.
More types of payments are now able to be made through the Council’s website by using a credit card.
Manager Customer and Regulatory Services Simon Pickford says the Council has expanded its e-payments system for the benefit of its customers.
“We’ve had rates and water bills able to be paid online, and now we have widened the service so that more people have the choice of how they want to make their payments,” he says.
The system now accepts payments for infringements (such as parking tickets), applications (such as licenses), debts (such as leases) and dog registrations.
“We expect the dog registrations to be especially popular as these payments are required by 17 August,” says Mr Pickford.
Online water and rates payments incur a convenience fee charged by the bank, but other payments do not.
E-payments can be made at newplymouthnz.com/pay. The system is a secure site, and users need only their invoice (e.g. dog registration form, parking ticket, etc) and credit card.
Customers can also make payments to the Council via internet banking.
