Sulu Robertson

Sulu is a real success story after winning an award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in the Prime Ministers BEST Training Awards 2012. She enrolled with BEST Training, an organisation whose goal is to create opportunities for Pacific Island young people, to help them develop the skills and confidence that will fast-track their careers.

Sulu was recruited to the Chamber from The Business Professional programme which she enrolled onto seeking out a career change; having completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science and working as a Junior Lab Tech, Sulu decided to move her career from behind a microscope into a more people focussed role. She now continues with her personal development and is currently working towards a Diploma in International Studies.

After winning this award I have overwhelming feeling of gratitude to everyone who has helped me along the way, it has given me the motivation to strive for more and to deliver the best that I can; it’s never too late to learn a new skill or to develop a passion - you never know what will be around the corner.
