Marlborough-Christchurch Rebuild Opportunities Forum

One of the first projects the Council has embarked on through its new economic development initiative is to assist Marlborough to identify business and employment opportunities in Christchurch.

Many local businesses are already involved in the rebuild but others may not have considered the opportunities that are opening up.

Rebuilding Christchurch is a $30b project. Marlborough can help itself and Christchurch by contributing to that work.

The Marlborough District Council, Marlborough Chamber of Commerce and The Marlborough Express are jointly supporting MACRO: a Marlborough Christchurch Rebuild Opportunities Forum where a panel of developers and construction firms already active in Christchurch will outline the possibilities for Marlborough.

The Forum is open to any individual or business that may be able to provide labour, goods, skills or services for the Christchurch rebuild. There is no charge but people are asked to register through the Chamber of Commerce, Ph: 03 577 9575 or email enquiries@mcoc.org.nz
