UPPER HUTT

Upper Hutt Police are speaking to a number of people in relation to the stabbing of a 21-year-old man at a McParland Street address earlier today.

Acting Upper Hutt Area Commander Inspector Mike Hill says investigators are following some strong lines of inquiry.

"Police staff will be working through the night and are talking to several witnesses," he says.

The police are not able to release the deceased man's name until they have spoken to all relevant family members.
