Britomart Precinct’s Tyler St. Garage unveils an irresistible new lunchtime menu designed to appeal to the busy hordes that work, live and play near the city’s CBD hub.

The menu caters for corporates out for quick bite and those who are able to linger a little longer, with smaller plates to share over drinks and an express lunch menu where customers are guaranteed to be in and out in 45 minutes.

It also includes larger dishes such as seared tuna salad, New York-style pizza (gluten free available), prime steer sirloin with homemade potato skins and teriyaki chicken with Japanese rice rolls.

Tyler St. Garage is the work of hospitality expert Brendan Turner - general manager of a leading trio of eateries in Britomart.

Tyler St. has always had a strong following, says Turner, for its beautiful seaside location, north-facing rooftop bar and tempting menu. The new menu, however, is poised to set taste buds alight, he says.

“We’ve always had a strong emphasis on food. It is core to the success of all our three Britomart eateries,” he says. “We believe in a fun, egalitarian atmosphere but we are also passionate about exceptional service and exquisite food.”

In addition to Tyler St., Turner and his Pondarosa Group founded Ebisu restaurant and urban daytime café Precinct in early 2011.

Talented chef Murray Wiblin (formerly head chef at The Westin) is in charge of the kitchen which also serves neighbouring Japanese-inspired Ebisu and Precinct.

Tyler St. Garage’s rooftop terrace is warmed by an outdoor fireplace and equipped with a retractable roof for dining day or night, rain or shine.

And with Ebisu recently included in the top 50 restaurants in the country, Turner is working hard to ensure sister eatery Tyler Street Garage will be joining the ranks soon.

Located in a former parking building, Tyler St is open seven days from 11.30am until late. For a preview of the new season menu and mid-week specials go to www.tylerstreetgarage.co.nz
