New Visa Country Manager for New Zealand and South Pacific Announced
Caroline Ada has been appointed Visa Country Manager New Zealand and South Pacific.
From October 1, Caroline will replace Sean Preston who has been appointed to a new role with Visa as Executive Manager, Southeast Asia and Australasia, based in Singapore. Sean has been in the New Zealand-based role since March 2009.
“Sean has made a significant contribution to Visa’s business in New Zealand and the South Pacific and his achievements have been recognised with his move to a regional role,” said Peter Maher, Visa Group Country Manager, Southeast Asia and Australasia.
“Caroline has a tremendous passion for Visa and a great affiliation with New Zealand through her many visits with her previous position with us. We welcome her return to Visa.”
Bringing a wealth of payments experience, Caroline will move to New Zealand to take up her new role from Suncorp Bank in Brisbane, where she held the position of Regional General Manager and Head of Transaction and Savings Products.
From 2006 to 2010, Caroline worked in card acceptance and innovation roles at Visa, culminating in the position of Director of Innovation Products for Australasia. During this time Caroline managed the successful market implementation of Visa payWave across Australia, drove the accelerated deployment of EMV in both Australia and New Zealand, and negotiated, project managed and implemented the first Visa direct switch merchant in Asia Pacific.
Caroline has also held positions at Westpac Australia as Loyalty Program Manager and Coles Myer in a variety of product and sales roles.
