Location of incident: Willawa Point SH1 (Kaikoura to Ward)
Incident Type: Vehicle crash - expect delays
Emergency services are currently dealing motorvehicle crash where a vehicle has rolled. One person is trapped in the vehicle.
The location of the crash is at Willawa Point on State Highway 1 which is north of Kekerengu. (Closest main town is Ward in Blenheim)
An air ambulance is enroute from Nelson and will land shortly on one side of the the road. Once the helicoptor has arrived with medical crew, the fire service will commence extraction of the trapped person
Police at the scene wish to advise motorists to expect delays as a result of the crash as the road will only be open to one way traffic only
