Finalists for Westpac Auckland Central Business Awards 2012 announced

Twenty-four Auckland companies and four individuals have been selected as the finalists for the Westpac Auckland Central Business Awards 2012.

The finalists, spread across eight categories, were announced at Orams Marine Boat Park last night (Wednesday 29 August) and include businesses across a wide spectrum of industries from childcare to marine, property to fitness as well as travel, hospitality and retail. Five businesses are finalists in more than one category.

The awards are run by Auckland Chamber of Commerce and this year attracted 111 entries – up from 100 for the inaugural awards in 2011.

Auckland Chamber chief executive Michael Barnett says the standard among entries this year was very high and provided judges with an intense period of deliberation and debate.

The category winners and the overall winner of the Westpac Supreme Business Excellence Award, will be announced at a black-tie gala dinner at the Langham, Auckland on Friday 2 November. For further information and to register, please click here.
