Waimauku - Fatal Crash / Diversions

Police are arranging diversions to secure the scene of a car versus motorcycle crash on SH16 near Woodhill Road, Waimauku.

The crash occurred at 4.30p.m. and the motorcyclist is reported to have died at the scene.  The occupant of the car received minor injuries.

Diversions will be using Kiwitahi and Old North Roads.  Traffic is expected to be heavy into the rush hour and motorists are advised to consider their options when planning travel west and north towards Helensville, possibly travelling via Riverhead rather than being diverted at Waimauku.  Those travelling south from Helensville are advised to take Wishart Road, from the township, onto Old North Road.

All motorists are asked to take extra care whilst on these secondary roads as traffic will be heavy.
