With the changing nature of publishing and the immediacy of news and information, Rugby News is proud to announce the continuing evolution of its weekly publication.

Rugby News, which originated in 1970 as a black and white newspaper and later evolved to a full colour magazine, is now moving to a complimentary digital publication with many new interactive features. Rugby News continues this evolution and will expand its reach, both within New Zealand and globally, through a range of digital communications.

The team at Rugby News will launch an initial version of the digital magazine on November 8 to keep its readers up to date with all the action throughout the All Blacks’ end-of-year tour. The full version of the digital publication will begin in February 2013.

Rugby News’ latest readership survey, conducted by Nielsen Media Research, shows it undoubtedly has the world’s largest rugby readership of 291,000 per month.

Its print stable will still continue to publish Rugby News Special Edition publications as it has done for many years, focused on key events in the rugby calendar such as Super Rugby, the Home Tests, Rugby Championship, ITM Cup, End of Year Tour and Year in Review.

As always, the publication will maintain its commitment to delivering all the rugby news from New Zealand and abroad, as it has done uninterrupted since 1970.
