Feel like treating yourself to leading camera technology this summer? The new Fujifilm XE-1 won’t disappoint – a portable, interchangeable lens camera that works with you and your lifestyle.

The second X series interchangeable lens camera, the XE-1 follows in the footsteps of the highly acclaimed Fujifilm X-Pro1, boasting the same 16 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS Sensor with top-class OLED electronic viewfinder.

Refreshingly lightweight and compact at just 350g1, the new XE-1 lets you hit the road with less baggage this holiday season, comprising a smaller body with built-in flash and the same X mount for the FUJINON XF lens series – so you can wave goodbye to lugging around your DSLR!

With its convenient, portable size and fast autofocus speed, the X-E1 is an exciting addition to the X series family, renowned for its photo quality and excellence. Available in two-tone Silver and solid Black, the classic design of the X-E1 interchangeable lens camera creates longevity of style and timeless appeal.

The X-E1 can take approximately 350 shots per charge2, so you can concentrate on your photography without the concern of your battery running out. Unlike the X-Pro1 with its hybrid multi viewfinder, the X-E1 camera boasts an OLED electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million dots, making it one of the highest resolutions available on digital cameras with EVFs3. A wide 25 degree horizontal field of view also allows you to scan your entire scene quickly and efficiently.

If quick responses are what you’re after, the X-E1 features the fast, high-precision EXR Processor Pro – for rapid responses whatever you’re shooting. The XE-1 also offers Fujifilm’s Film Simulation Modes – diverse shooting modes that replicate the distinctive textures of conventional photo film.

And with Full HD Movie recording (1920 x 1080) at 24fps, you’ll also find Monochrome or Film Simulation modes at your fingertips when video recording, letting you create unique personal touches to all your movies.

The X-E1 is also the recipient of the prestigious Photokina Star 2012 award, which honours products and concepts that stand out for their innovative nature and trendsetting technologies.

The new Fujifilm XE1 (RRP $2299 including body and 18-55mm lens) is available now from leading photo retail stores.
