Glenorchy tour operator Dart River Jet Safaris raised nearly $3,000 for local Mums and bubs thanks to a well-supported ‘local’s day’ last weekend.

Mr Grimmer said the locals day had been “hugely successful” with dozens enjoying an exhilarating ride along the Dart River followed by a guided walk and back-country tour through spectacular scenery.

“We love doing our locals day because its great to give to such a worthwhile group, and to give something back to a great local community like Glenorchy,” he said.

Ms Wilkins said the Play Group very much appreciated that support.

“It’s fantastic for Dart River Jet Safaris to support the community in so many different ways, especially when it makes such a huge difference to a small organisation like the Glenorchy Play Group which struggles to fundraise throughout the year,” she said.

“We’re planning to put this money towards some much-needed outdoor equipment.”
