Summer pool party season returns
Christchurch City Council is making a splash this summer by opening three of its popular outdoor pools.
The Jellie Park 50-Metre Outdoor Pool and the Halswell Aquatic Centre will reopen on Saturday 17 November, followed by Templeton Pool on Monday 10 December.
Mayor Bob Parker says the reopening of the pools is a well-deserved treat for Christchurch fun-seekers.
“Traditionally, we’ve always looked forward to the opening of our outdoor pools as one of the first signs of a Christchurch summer, so it’s with great pleasure that we invite families to take time out to splash around and enjoy what promises to be some beautiful summer weather.”
From Saturday 15 December, the popular series of Summer Pool Parties will return, helping to sustain the fun throughout the season. MORE FM will be on-hand with games, competitions, prizes and plenty of Streets ice creams. Listen to MORE FM on 92.1 FM for all the details.

Investigations into possible repair options for both pools are continuing.
